A company is looking for a Facility Inpatient Coder (Remote).
Key Responsibilities
Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes by reviewing medical documentation in accordance with coding guidelines
Abstract data elements for statistical requests and enter coded information into the assigned system
Collaborate with the Clinical Documentation Integrity team to ensure accurate coding and documentation improvement
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
A minimum of 3 years' experience in code assignment in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Groups (MS-DRG) and All Patient Refined Diagnosis Related Groups (APR-DRG)
Familiarity with coding applications such as EPIC and Solventum
Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and clinical practice related to code assignment
