Psychiatrist - AMH / Forensic - Savannah - per diem.

Georgia Regional Hospital – Savannah (GRHS) operates 180 licensed, accredited inpatient beds for two major program areas : 1) adult mental health, 2) adult forensic services.

This is a per diem opportunity. The hours can be negotiable based on your availability and the needs of the hospital.

Job Descriptions :

• Admissions : Job duties include review of referrals from outside facilities for medical / psychiatric appropriateness, evaluation of individuals accepted from the community to determine the need for inpatient treatment, and reevaluation of individuals receiving treatment in our temporary observation unit.
• Adult Mental Health : Job duties include leading a multidisciplinary team that provides inpatient stabilization for those admitted to our hospitals and assist in integration back into the community once stabilized (Caseload and length of stay vary by hospital so ask for more information about the location you are interested in).
• Forensics : Job duties include leading a multidisciplinary team that provides inpatient stabilization to individuals referred from the surrounding courts for competency restoration.

Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) AND licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law AND Two years of experience at the lower level Physician 2 (HCP161) or position equivalent.
