Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Terre Haute, Indiana (47802) – Indiana healthcare jobs

Unit : Medical Surgical / Oncology

Assignment Type : Travel RN contract

Start Date : September 17, 2025

End Date : December 17, 2025

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 3 weekend shifts and one Sunday per schedule

Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1630-$1750

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or compact state

BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year recent Med / Surg nursing experience preferred

Experience with end-of-life care is a plus

Strong communication skills and independent, outgoing personality

Ability to float to 4 East and other units as needed

RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a 27-37 bed Med / Surg / Oncology unit

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and support staff

Operate clinical equipment such as Baxter pumps, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), and wound vacs

Document patient care using Meditech Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Maintain patient ratios of 5-6 : 1

Deliver compassionate care, including end-of-life support

Float to other medical units as required
