Job Summary
This is an opportunity within the Early Intervention (EI) Services line, part of the statewide system of Early Intervention services known as the Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia. Loudoun Early Intervention provides supports and services to children birth to thirty-six months of age and their families under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). A Physical Therapist in EI provides Physical Therapy Assessments and Therapeutic Services as well as Case Management to families with infants and toddlers ages birth to three years with disabilities or developmental delays within children's natural environments.
In this role you will :
- Provide educational and therapeutic coaching to support families with infants and toddlers who have delayed or disordered motor development, promote optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities, as well as support social-communication skills, play skills, and cognitive development.
- Implement early intervention services using coaching and consultative models within the typical environments of young children, in keeping with Federal and State Part C regulations under IDEA.
Specific duties include :
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field; four (4) years of related experience working with infants and young children with developmental delays; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must h old an unencumbered Virginia license in Physical Therapy.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply. Salary commensurate with experience.
