Job Summary :
The Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) is pivotal in maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards while providing unparalleled technical support to enhance the Panda brand. This role encompasses the overall management of the company's food safety and quality assurance functions, ensuring that our Operators can effectively meet their goals regarding people, guests, and finances. As a senior leader, the Director will cultivate a team of FSQA professionals and contribute to key strategic committees.
Key Responsibilities :
- Establish and sustain a robust Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) program that safeguards the well-being of guests and associates and preserves the integrity of the Panda brand.
- Actively participate in the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, offering expert guidance on food safety risks and quality assurance across the supply chain.
- Tackle global food safety and quality challenges, providing leadership with insights on identified risks and developing necessary mitigation strategies to ensure exemplary dining experiences.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of FSQA managers and specialists, enhancing their capabilities and fostering an environment of excellence.
- Cultivate strong relationships with supply chain partners to embed Panda's culture and food safety standards, ensuring compliance through regular visits and audits.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to guarantee that FSQA standards meet or surpass regulatory expectations, and manage food recalls or withdrawals as necessary.
- Design and implement systems, tools, and training to facilitate effective FSQA practices throughout the supply chain, ensuring food product specifications and quality assurance checklists are maintained.
- Stay abreast of FSQA innovations and trends, proactively adopting advanced practices to achieve the highest food safety standards.
- Serve as a spokesperson to company leadership regarding risk assessments and represent the company during food safety or quality crises.

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Public Health, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is required; an advanced degree in food or nutritional science is preferred.Minimum of twelve years of FSQA experience in restaurant or food processing environments with increasing management responsibilities.Completion of all required training, including obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment.Compensation : M5 : $205,000 - $288,000 annually. Individual pay determined based on location and experience.
