Permit Technician

Moss Heating and Cooling is looking for a permit technician to work closely with our New Construction Department.

This individual would need to have a deep understanding of local building codes, regulations, and ordinances to ensure compliance.   Job Duties :

• Reviewing and processing applications for building permits  Ensuring all applications comply with local, state, and federal building codes.   Assisting contractors, homeowners, and the public with permit application processes.   Maintaining accurate records of all permits issued.  Consulting with builders and designers to clarify details on permit applications  Coordinating with other city departments for permit approval  Assisting in the preparation of permit related reports  Processing payments for permit fees  Providing excellent customer service, resolving issues, or referring them to the appropriate department.   Qualifications :    HVAC / Home services experience  Customer Service Experience  Solid understanding of zoning laws  Solid understanding of construction codes and regulations  Excellent organizational skills  Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and the public.   Powered by JazzHR
