Enterprise Solutions Architect

Houston, TX Onsite 5 days / week

15+ years required

Overview :

Seeking a senior Enterprise Solutions Architect with at least 15 years of experience to drive architecture, leadership, and hands-on development for multiple enterprise-grade applications. This role combines MEAN stack expertise, active coding, and enterprise- wide solution governance with a strong focus on stakeholder influencing, alignment, and communication.

Responsibilities

Define and govern architecture strategy and standards across a portfolio of enterprise applications, focusing on maintainable, secure, and scalable solutions

using the MEAN stack.

Actively code and prototype complex modules, directly contributing to key development efforts and system integration projects.

Engage, influence, and align diverse business and technical

stakeholders-including executives, product leaders, and technical teams-to ensure architectural decisions support organizational objectives.

Translate ambiguous or competing business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps, negotiating trade-offs as needed to build consensus across

stakeholder groups.

Present and communicate complex architectural concepts and technical strategy clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

Champion best practices in solution design, security, DevOps, and cloud adoption throughout the application lifecycle.

Mentor and coach architects and developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and transparency.

Facilitate architecture reviews, lead cross-team workshops, and mediate conflicting stakeholder viewpoints.

Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and technology recommendations to business sponsors and leadership.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.

At least 15 years of progressive experience in software engineering and architecture roles, with proven leadership across enterprise-scale systems.

Extensive, recent hands-on coding experience with full stack (MEAN) frameworks.

Superior ability to influence, negotiate, and manage relationships with business and technical stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve conflict.

Deep understanding of enterprise integration, API governance, security, performance, and cloud architecture.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills suitable for executive and cross-functional contexts.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience facilitating architecture governance boards or steering committees.

Advanced skills in consensus-building and organizational change leadership for digital transformation.

Certifications in enterprise or solutions architecture (TOGAF, AWS / Azure Architect, etc.).
