Overview

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Web Content Strategy Lead to drive web content initiatives from concept through launch. This role acts as the point of contact for stakeholders and ensures content strategy, messaging, and execution align with business objectives. Youll manage content workflows, coordinate across teams, and balance strategy with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate brings project management skills, strong communication, and the ability to transform stakeholder inputs into clear, engaging digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Messaging

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on web content initiatives.
  • Lead content-related meetings, clarify objectives, and ensure projects move forward on schedule.
  • Guide messaging, positioning, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Develop and refine content strategies that improve discoverability, engagement, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Copyedit and polish messaging for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Perform and review SEO research and confirm recommendations are applied effectively.

Content Production & Oversight

  • Build pages in the CMS.
  • Provide feedback on page flow, structure, and user experience.
  • Serve as first-level reviewer for content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Ensure rigorous QA and adherence to brand / style guides prior to go-live.
  • Monitor analytics post-launch and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Establish content governance and maintain processes for ongoing updates.
  • Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in web content management, content strategy, or digital marketing.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and serve as a project point-of-contact.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating complex initiatives.
  • Advanced writing, editing, and messaging alignment skills.
  • Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools (Google Analytics, BrightEdge, SEMrush, etc.).
  • Hands-on CMS expertise (AEM, WordPress, Drupal, SAP SmartEdit, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with UX / UI principles and ability to partner with design / dev teams.
  • Comfort mentoring or guiding junior team members.
