Advanced Medical Assistant (AMA)

Join a compassionate healthcare team as an Advanced Medical Assistant, where you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and professional welcome both in person and over the phone. Your role will include maintaining accurate compliance logs, taking detailed patient medical histories, and measuring vital signs such as blood pressure and weight.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during their assessments.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic lab tests, and draw blood samples.
• Explain treatment procedures clearly to patients and provide instructions on medications and special diets.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and manage prescription refills.
• Perform electrocardiograms, remove sutures, and change dressings as needed.
• Handle various administrative duties including computer applications, answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, updating medical records, coding and filing insurance forms, arranging hospital admissions and lab services, and managing correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping.

Education : Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training is preferred.

Experience : Prior experience in a clinical setting assisting physicians and performing basic laboratory and administrative tasks is highly valued.

Requirements : Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a caring attitude towards patients. Familiarity with medical software and compliance standards is essential.
