Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Maine requiring a current ME or compact RN license and strong critical care background.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Emergency Department
  • Night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Patient care for a full spectrum of emergency and chest pain cases
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Manage direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department
  • Perform assessments, administer IV therapy and blood products, and provide patient education
  • Document all nursing actions and patient responses
  • Team environment with support in both general emergency and chest pain-centered care
  • Local travelers are eligible but will be paid a lower local rate

    • Requirements

  • Active ME or compact RN license
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in critical care required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Candidates must not have been a previous employee of St. Mary's
  • No license or background actions accepted
