Overview :

The client’s company, a national leader in pharmacy services supporting long-term care, senior living, behavioral health, and specialty care, is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to provide high-quality patient care and ensure the safe preparation and dispensing of medications. This part-time position offers a consistent weekday schedule and an opportunity to work with a dedicated healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately prepare, dispense, and verify prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, monitoring for drug interactions and contraindications.

Educate patients on medication use, side effects, dosage, and storage.

Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records in accordance with confidentiality standards.

Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.

Manage medication inventory and ensure availability of necessary pharmaceutical supplies.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Provide patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.

Compound and prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as needed.
