RF TEST LAB SPECIALIST (SILICON ENGINEERING)

We design build test and operate all parts of the system thousands of satellites consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing and the software that brings it all together. As the RF Lab Specialist you will be responsible for the setup development and day-to-day operations of SpaceXs Starlink RFIC development lab. You will ensure that the lab is always fully capable of quickly performing measurements on the RFICs used on satellites ground stations and user products. You will also support test development by performing hardware reworks test setup maintenance maintaining lab inventory setup up test configurations and performing measurements.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Manage and coordinate usage of RF test equipment and shared lab resources (such as environmental test chambers) across multiple buildings at the same site
• Ensure that all test equipment maintains active calibration status
• Support design engineers by enforcing lab organization cleanliness ESD-safe handling practices and restocking commonly-used components
• Set up tear down reconfigure calibrate validate and document specialized RF test benches given general direction and guidance
• Drive physical changes to the lab work areas through facility requests from electrical mechanical and networking contractors
• Assemble and rework printed circuit boards as needed
• Perform electromechanical assembly of specialized test racks and test shelves
• Manage shipping / receiving logistics of delicate test equipment and test articles
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on lab equipment
• Maintain up-to-date CAD drawings of the lab areas
• Manage daily and weekly cleanroom operations; interface with building information systems such as particle counters pressure sensors and power monitors

Pay range :

Test Specialist / Level 1 : $32.00 - $40.00 / hour

Test Specialist / Level 2 : $36.00 - $45.00 / hour

Test Specialist / Level 3 : $40.00 - $50.00 / hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations : job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
