Applicants for this job have the flexibility to work remotely from home. Candidate must live in New York, City, NY for occasional in office meetings.

Position Purpose : The Health Care Analyst provides analytic support to one or multiple departments and develops a variety of complex ad hoc, production and / or trend reports to support business decisions and operational processes for internal and external customers.

• Must have a deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies from a health plan / payer perspective.
• This position requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency.
• Summarizes and formats information using tables, graphs and other styles to support decision-making.
• Analyzes, researches, and interprets results, variances, and trends.
• Documents report specifications and communicates findings to customers.
• Designs, develops, documents and maintains databases to aid reporting and processes.
• Verifies accuracy of data.
• May ensure reports are reviewed for regulatory reporting requirements.
• Supports the development of online management information systems and standardized reports.
• May recommend operational changes or actions based on analytical conclusions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Education / Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Accounting or related analytical discipline preferred. Minimum two years experience manipulating and analyzing data from large relational database files. Healthcare analytics background in fee schedule or claims is highly preferred. Experience with healthcare reimbursement analytics in Medicaid and Medicare payments methodologies is highly preferred. Experience using SQL to manipulate data is preferred.

Pay Range : $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
