Responsibilities

Technology Transformation & Modernization

  • Lead migration of legacy VB6 systems into modern .NET environments.
  • Architect and guide transition of monolithic applications into microservices‑based, cloud‑native SaaS solutions.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and high availability across modernized platforms.
  • Advocate and instantiate AI‑powered design, build, and QA / QC of software development.

Engineering Leadership

  • Align technical modernization with the enterprise architecture defined by the CTO.
  • Embed iterative‑agile frameworks (Scrum, LeSS, Kanban) and design / system thinking within teams.
  • Mentor and inspire engineering teams to fully adopt AI technologies and best practices.
  • Establish clear engineering standards, code quality practices, and review processes.
  • Change Management & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as a change agent guiding teams and stakeholders through major technology transitions.
  • Communicate technical strategies and progress to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, and other business units to align technology with growth and customer needs.
  • Delivery & Execution

  • Develop pilot solutions to validate technical approaches and create reusable designs.
  • Enhance CI / CD pipelines, implement automated testing, and introduce AI‑enabled capabilities to accelerate delivery.
  • Implement Agile / DevOps methodologies to shorten delivery cycles and improve reliability.
  • Define and track meaningful metrics for performance, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Skills and Experience

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of leading large‑scale system migrations (VB6 to .NET preferred).
  • Experience driving cloud migration strategies and SaaS product transformation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Expertise

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET).
  • Proven leadership in microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Experience with CI / CD, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery pipelines.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Mural, Excel, and other Agile platforms.
  • Leadership & Change Management

  • Success in leading change initiatives in complex organizations.
  • Skillful mentoring, coaching, and development of engineering talent.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; data‑driven decision making.
  • Travel Requirements

    Domestic travel up to 1 time per month and up to 3 days per trip. Fully remote position; work from home benefit available.

  • Compensation

    The annual base salary range is $200,000 to $230,000 USD plus annual bonus. Compensation is determined based on scope, responsibilities, experience, location, education, peer equity, external market data, and business considerations.
