Overview

PR and Marketing Specialist role at iBUYPOWER (HYTE division). This position works with the Public Relations Manager to drive product launches, support the brand at events, and strategize and execute promotional campaigns to elevate HYTE in the hardware and consumer technology industry.

Department : Marketing

Location : City of Industry, CA

Compensation : $68,640 - $72,800 / year

Description

HYTE, a leading manufacturer of cutting-edge PC components and peripherals, is seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Specialist to join the team. You will work closely with our Public Relations Manager to drive product launches, support the brand at various events, and continually strategize and execute promotional campaigns to elevate HYTE in the hardware and consumer technology industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns to enhance brand visibility and drive awareness of HYTE’s lineup, leveraging traditional media, influencer partnerships, and digital platforms.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key tech, hardware, and gaming stakeholders. Act as a primary contact for media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Create compelling press releases, media kits, and other materials that communicate key messages, product launches, and company updates. Craft engaging narratives for target audiences.
  • Coordinate and oversee events and product launches with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution and memorable experiences for maximum awareness.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, provide timely reports on campaign performance, and use insights to optimize future initiatives. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and consumer behaviors to identify PR opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align messaging and maximize opportunities. Leverage internal resources to amplify PR efforts and drive cohesive brand storytelling.
  • Work with Marketing to develop integrated campaigns and provide PR insights to ensure campaign success and alignment with brand strategy.
  • Proactively manage crisis communication plans and SOPs with the Public Relations Manager to ensure swift and effective responses to potential issues.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in managing PR campaigns and driving successful outcomes.
  • Proven track record of PR in tech and / or gaming, preferably hardware manufacturing or consumer technology.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong media contacts in consumer technology, gaming, and hardware; existing influencer / journalist relationships are desirable.
  • Creative thinker with ability to generate innovative PR ideas and capitalize on industry trends.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, analytics tools, and PR software (e.g., Cision, PR Newswire, Muck Rack). Media monitoring experience is a plus.
  • Passion for gaming, consumer technology, hardware, and knowledge of HYTE’s products and brand. Awareness of gaming / anime / pop culture communities is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proof of full vaccination on start date is required unless prohibited by law, with documentation acceptable as proof.
