Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing a variety of clinical tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical historiesPerform dental cleanings and periodontal therapy using appropriate techniquesEducate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive careAssist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needsUtilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plansMaintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocolsCollaborate with dentists in four-handed dentistry procedures to enhance efficiency during treatmentsManage medical imaging processes, including X-rays, to support diagnostic effortsProvide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflowStay updated on advancements in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practicesSkills
Proficient in Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for dental practice managementKnowledgeable in pediatric dentistry techniques and best practicesStrong understanding of anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and dental terminologyExperience with documentation review and medical coding for accurate record keepingFamiliarity with aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during proceduresExcellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and educationAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalismPrevious experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferredJoin our team as a Dental Hygienist where your expertise will contribute to the health and well-being of our patients.
