    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing a variety of clinical tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care in a friendly and professional environment.

    Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories
  • Perform dental cleanings and periodontal therapy using appropriate techniques
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care
  • Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with dentists in four-handed dentistry procedures to enhance efficiency during treatments
  • Manage medical imaging processes, including X-rays, to support diagnostic efforts
  • Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
  • Stay updated on advancements in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices
  • Skills

  • Proficient in Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for dental practice management
  • Knowledgeable in pediatric dentistry techniques and best practices
  • Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and dental terminology
  • Experience with documentation review and medical coding for accurate record keeping
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred
