Position Summary :
The Component Engineer will be responsible for ensuring environmental and material compliance (REACh, RoHS, and Materials of Concern) for aerospace components and assemblies. This role involves performing compliance assessments, validating material data, and integrating compliance information within CAD systems to support product traceability and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct REACh and Material of Concern (MoC) assessments for components and assemblies.
- Analyze and validate material compliance data using GreenSoft or similar tools.
- Use databases such as IHS SiliconExpert , etc., to collect and verify material information.
- Collaborate with design procurement , and compliance teams to ensure environmental compliance through all product development phases.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and reports for audits and regulatory submissions.
- Integrate compliance and material data into 3D CAD models using CATIA or NX for traceability.
- Stay updated on global environmental regulations (REACh, RoHS, etc.) and contribute to internal compliance strategies.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 2 years of experience in materials compliance or REACh-related workHands-on experience with GreenSoft or similar compliance analysis tools.Familiarity with IHS SiliconExpert , or other material / compliance databases.Strong working knowledge of CATIA or NX for 3D modeling and data integration.Preferred Skills :
Experience in the aerospace or defense industryUnderstanding of environmental regulations like RoHS REACH , and WEEEStrong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
