Description
As an Estimator at Hennessy Collision of Atlanta , you will be responsible for appraising vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair for insurance claim settlements.
What You'll Do :
- Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
- Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
- Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
- In the event of a disagreement with manager or foreman on repair cost, arranges to have damage appraised by another appraiser to resolve the situation.
- Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
- Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
- Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
- Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
- Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
- Other tasks as assigned.

What You'll Bring :
Minimum of 2 years experience as an estimatorI Car certification strongly preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsOutgoing and service-oriented attitudeKnowledge of collision repair processValid GA driver's license with a clean driving historyMust submit to and pass a background and drug screenWorking Environment & Physical Demands
Duties are performed throughout the dealer premises, both indoors and outdoors. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to move vehicles. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and is frequently required to stand, walk and sit.
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
