Candidates must have emergency department experience with low acuity cases.

Description :

The Emergency Department has 16 beds with 8 additional hall chairs.

Staffing consists of 6-7 team members per shift.

Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 1 triage nurse, and 4-5 nurses (one mid-shift), along with 1 unit support and 1-2 technicians.

Night shift features the same staffing structure with a unit support staff member available from 7 PM to midnight.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 4 for low acuity cases, with the capacity to handle 6 patients if necessary.

Equipment utilized includes cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and vital signs flow into the electronic medical record system.

The role involves assessments, documentation, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV insertion, urine collection, and lab draws.

Candidates with additional certifications such as CEN or TCRN will be given priority consideration.

Dress code requires royal blue scrubs, and team spirit attire is encouraged during the designated season.

Mandatory shift huddles occur at the beginning of each shift unless critical care is being administered.

Recognition for improved patient satisfaction and engagement will be highlighted.

The department is transitioning to a Level II trauma designation, offering opportunities for growth and development.
