Job Summary

Responsible for developing program or project quality system processes and supporting product quality improvements. Responsible for designing quality improvement initiatives and processes across a line of business, commodity or business unit. Design, develop, analyze, document, and support quality activities that drive continuous improvement across the organization utilizing Six Sigma / Lean, SPC, FMEA, Process Capability and ISO Quality Management systems. Complete technical projects independently and mentor and coach other engineers. Responsible for establishing quality programs and driving quality improvement initiatives internally and at both customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and develop quality systems and processes to support them.
• Influence functional organizations towards a preventive, quality-oriented culture from design throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for quality assignments.
• Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
• Communicate effectively with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and customers.
• Participate in preparation of complex proposals.
• Provide technical expertise and support to engineers and support personnel.
• Coordinate with technical management and other professionals on technical activities.
• Support and promote the organization's mission, values, and culture.
• Attend engineering, customer, or business meetings.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers.
