Our client is hiring a Fastener Tool and Die Maker!

Responsibilities of the Fastener Tooling Design Engineer

• You will review fastener tooling designs, tolerance reviews, etc. by the use of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other CAD systems or hard copy prints.
• You will review and recommend the layout of tooling progressions for up to 6 die, 6 blow cold headers such as Formax headers or other brands.
• Familiarity with headers such as Formax FX33's (3 / 8” with 3 stations), FX32's (3 / 8” with 2 stations), FX45, FX44, FX53, FX54, FX55 and / or multi-die and single-die cold headers such as Nedschroef, Sacma, Nationals and Nakashimadas. Up to 6 die, 6 blow is always a plus!
• Become familiar with the productivity improvement potential of using simplified tooling to reduce setup times on secondaries such as Warren, Saspi's, Hartford and Waterbury brands including slotters, trimmers, pointers, shavers and roll threaders.
• Rework and repair dies as well as machine new dies and extra inserts as required.
• Be involved with machining or ordering a wide variety of replacement parts for cold heading and thread rolling equipment such as punch blocks, die blocks, die casings and punch holders.
• Operate honing machine, manual lathes, centerless grinders OD, surface grinders and reamer grinders.
• Apply your knowledge of all types of header dies including Tri-Lobe (Taptite), MATPoint, Draw dies, Locking serrations, etc. as well as your knowledge of carbide D80, D70, D60, D50, D40 and steel.

The targeted annual starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $22.00 per hour to $45.00 per hour
