Finance Operations Role at Cardinal Health

Finance Operations contributes to Cardinal Health by overseeing the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishing and maintaining fiscal controls, preparing and interpreting financial reports, overseeing financial systems, and safeguarding the organization's assets. Finance Operations is responsible for core financial operation processes including customer and vendor contract administration, customer and vendor pricing, rebates, billing, vendor chargeback research and reconciliation, processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports for payment, fixed asset accounting for book and tax records, cash application, and journal entries.

Responsibilities include managing a team overseeing the entirety of GPO Admin Fees and Rebates set up and report creation functions, ensuring proper accounting for GPO Admin Fees and Rebates, owning first level review / approval responsibilities for non-standard rebate structures, overseeing key rebate accuracy and timeliness, partnering with cross-functional teams to research and resolve issues impacting rebate accuracy, fostering a strong SOX internal control structure, transforming current payout and reporting processes, developing plans for future systematic enhancements, assisting team with more complicated customer and transaction activities, partnering with business partners across the organization to properly account for transactions, actively collaborating and supporting cross-functional team initiatives to improve customer experience, and establishing team and individual-oriented goals for growth and development.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management, 8+ years of professional experience in related fields, accounting and finance acumen, ability to lead a new team and influence others, knowledge with SAP and legal contracts, data mining experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, process improvement orientation, and strong SOX / internal control understanding.

What is expected of you and others at this level includes applying comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage varied tasks and projects, managing department operations, supervising professional employees, developing team and individual development plan goals for direct reports, participating in the development of policies and procedures, recommending new practices, processes, metrics, or models, working on or leading complex projects of large scope, developing technical solutions to difficult problems, receiving guidance on overall project objectives, independently determining methods for completion of new projects, gaining consensus from various parties, acting as a mentor, and ensuring employees operate within guidelines.

Anticipated salary range : $105,100 - $135,090. Bonus eligible : Yes.
