Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Belmont, North Carolina 28012 (Charlotte metro area)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,280 - $2,450

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (November 3, 2025 – February 1, 2026)

Healthcare Facility : 12 Operating Rooms plus a Hybrid OR

Shift : 8-hour day shifts (6 : 45am – 3 : 15pm), on-call required

Hours per Week : 40

Call Expectations : 1-2 call shifts per week (16 hours each, 3pm–7am) and a full weekend call every 4th weekend (3pm Friday–7am Monday)

Unit : Surgery – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR RN experience required

Clinical expertise in : CABG (on and off bypass), mitral or aortic valve replacement, Bentall procedures, pulmonary embolism interventions, balloon pump and Impella, hybrid TAVR cases, and lung surgeries (VATS / thoracotomy, lobectomy, decortication, wedge biopsy)

Ability to float to other operating rooms as needed

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Key Responsibilities for CVOR RN

Assist in complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures as part of the surgical nursing team

Deliver expert intraoperative nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and patient safety protocols

Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent cardiovascular cases

Float to other ORs as needed to support overall surgical operations
