American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist experienced in trauma and stroke perfusion for 12-hour night shifts on a travel contract.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position based in a Level II Trauma Center with a 492-bed capacityMain Radiology department; floating required throughout different department areasInpatient and outpatient imaging for adult and occasional pediatric patients, including ED casesAverage patient volume is 40 per day, typically 4 patients per hour with 1 : 1 ratiosShift schedule is 12-hour nights, Thursday to Saturday, starting at 9 : 00 pmOrientation includes 1 eight-hour hospital session and 2-3 shifts on days with a precepting techUses GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR; Cerner EMR experience is preferredWeekend rotation typically once per month and voluntary on-callHoliday coverage required per hospital policy, including one major and one minor seasonal holidayDuties include performing a wide range of CT procedures for inpatients, outpatients, emergency, and trauma patientsWork environment features a fast-paced trauma and primary stroke centerTeam support includes orientation shifts with another experienced techFree parking available for staffNo specific scrub color requiredPerm staff must wait 6 months before being eligible to return as travelersCandidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility\n \n Requirements\n
Current BLS and ARRT certifications are requiredARRT-CT certification requiredState license preferred; license required if applicableStrong experience with CT biopsy drainage, trauma, angiogram procedures requiredStroke perfusion procedure experience strongly preferredMinimum one year of CT experience required, with at least two years for first-time travelersMust be able to float throughout the radiology department as needed\n Benefits\n
