Sr. Subcontract Manager

The Aerostructures Composite group is seeking a qualified Subcontract Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating and managing major subcontracts, on-boarding and qualifying new suppliers, and supporting production and spares programs with material and services from our supply base.

Specific roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Supplier relationship management and driving improvement efforts.
  • Manage the overall procurement life cycle from RFQ >

Negotiations >

Purchase Order Placement >

Payment of Invoice

  • Lead key supplier negotiations of cost, terms and conditions and USG flow downs.
  • Management of critical, time-sensitive and complex issues.
  • Solving problems independently and efficiently.
  • Management of supplier performance metrics, including Supplier MRP / On-Time Delivery, Purchase Price Variance, Purchase Requisition placement, Contract Overspend / NTE performance, Cost of Poor Quality, etc.
  • Address / Manage / Mitigate significant supplier issues / shortages to ensure AC / spares requirements are met.
  • Manage resolution of quality issues Q / A hold, rejections, DRT, & all supporting quality initiatives
  • Manage Engineering, B / P, op sheet issues, and all technical issues
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by management
  • Experience with FAR and / or DFARS, government contracts / subcontracts

    Experience with FAR and / or DFARS, government contracts / subcontracts

    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

    Negotiation and cost analysis skills

    Possess communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management.

    Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing workload to meet program / customer needs

    Experienced team player with collaborative skills

    Previous Aerospace experience

    Part-time Remote Telework : The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Pay Rate : The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered : Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees : accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
