Tax Director

Overview

Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced Tax Director with 10+ years of public accounting experience to provide leadership for our tax practice. This individual will manage complex tax engagements, mentor and develop staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. The ideal candidate is a CPA with deep expertise in tax strategy, compliance, and planning, and has a proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards, meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
• Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Develop and implement proactive tax strategies to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes.
• Monitor and communicate developments in tax legislation to management, staff, and clients.
• Supervise, mentor, and train tax team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of engagements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing tax planning and consulting services.
• Conduct tax research and provide practical solutions on technical issues.
• Identify risks and opportunities for clients and communicate them effectively.
• Participate in firm initiatives, contribute to strategic growth, and provide leadership across teams.
