Childcare Director Position

Local employer is looking for a Childcare Director. We are seeking an inspiring and effective leader to direct our early childhood education center located in the heart of Picayune MS. Serving children from 6 weeks through pre-school age, the Director will be a guiding force in shaping young minds while ensuring our center operates smoothly and exceeds standards. The preferred candidate would have :

• Bachelor's Degree in ECE / related field or a CDA
• Experience in licensed childcare preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education and Mississippi licensing requirements
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Caring, flexible and energetic individual

Your role is to lead and support a dedicated team of teachers and staff while ensuring a quality, nurturing environment and developmentally appropriate curriculum. You will oversee administrative work (enrollment, scheduling, etc) while maintaining a safe, licensed center upholding Mississippi childcare regulations. You'll be handling staff hiring, supervision and evaluations.
