HVAC Controls Technician

As an entry-level Controls Technician , you will become proficient in testing, programming, commissioning, and servicing HVAC control systems and equipment in commercial and industrial critical environments. The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of HVAC systems , strong technical skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

What you'll do :

• Perform start - up, checkout, and troubleshooting for new and existing critical environment control systems and equipment .
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques and project management approaches.
• Install, wir e , & checkout of fume hood controls.
• Perform wiring, terminations, checkouts, and assist in system start-ups utilizing commissioning tools.
• Diagnose, t est, a djust, and b alance system components to achieve optimal system performance.
• Maintain  accurate  project documentation, including installation records, as-built drawings, programming files, and commissioning reports. Complete paperwork on time including time sheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation and project status reports.
• Participate in job site meetings and final walk through on assigned jobs and complete all job closeout documentation and customer training.
• Continually enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
• Attend training courses for multiple manufacturers to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work on the lab control & air monitoring systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
