As a(an) Observation Unit Nurse you can be a part of change.

Summit is the busiest level 3 trauma hospital in Tennessee. In this position you will be working in a 25 bed Observation Unit. This unit cares for patients who are anticipated to discharge in 24-48 hours from admission. The diagnoses we would care for would be chest pain awaiting a stress test, angioedema patients, TIA patients whose symptoms have resolved, and dehydration due to nausea / vomiting / diarrhea who just need IV fluids and some electrolyte replacement and can go home quickly. If they need further care after they are admitted to the observation unit, they will be transferred to another inpatient unit.

There are unlimited growth opportunities at HCA! This position will provide a great pathway for nurses that are interested in growing into an ICU position. As well as becoming a Charge Nurse, Preceptor, being part of a Unit Based Council, and growing into a Leadership role.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

TriStar Summit is a 234 bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services.
