We are hiring remarkable summer camp staff to serve our camp health needs! Join our summer camp team and make $700 per week.

We are seeking a high-energy Health Officer who will work closely with the Camp Director to develop a healthcare plan in accordance with local, state, federal, ACA, Council, and GSUSA standards. This individual will coordinate ongoing healthcare at camp which includes dispensing medication, treating patients, recommending individuals for further care, and supervising sanitary conditions. Based on health and safety program standards and according to DHS 175 and Girl Scouts USA, manage healthcare for the camp. This includes ensuring adherence to medical guidelines, health and cleanliness standards, and adequate health conditions for all.Prepare the camp Health Center prior to the start of camp, including cleaning and sanitizing the facility, stocking first aid supplies, and purchasing current OTC medications.In the event of an illness or accident, administer first aid in accordance with healthcare standing orders.Ensure each person at camp has a health history on file, as required by state law.Report serious illnesses and accidents to the appropriate parties as outlined by health procedures. Submit appropriate reports within the specified time.Record all intake, medication delivery, and care for the patient in the CampDoc electronic record system.Monitor and evaluate camp procedures, facilities, and conditions. Suggest modifications to create healthier conditions and practices.Attending and participating in all required pre-camp staff training.Participate in and lead specific areas of virtual and on-site staff training regarding camp health and safety, CPR, First Aid, and universal precautions for infection control.Establish a system for ensuring health screenings of campers and support staff are conducted efficiently and effectively.Ensure effective and efficient storage of equipment.Conduct an ongoing inventory of supplies, requesting supplies before and during camp as needed. Conduct a final inventory in areas of responsibility.Post and maintain regular hours for daily medication administration.Lead by example and instruct campers and support staff in effective self-care techniques.Interpret and maintain local, state, American Camp Association, and GSUSA standards for health and safety.Communicate camper care with parents, following Council guidelines and in communication with the Camp Director.In coordination with the Camp Director, run emergency drills throughout the summer to ensure effective emergency response.Participate in dining hall operations by eating with campers, supervising meals, administering needed medications, and cleaning up.Report any health problems or illness symptoms to the Camp Director.Create a safe and inclusive environment for both campers and other staff.Assist in the opening and closing procedures of camp, including staff training.Physical & Other Requirements :
