The Environmental Service Worker I position is with Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, located in Glendale, California. This Per Diem Nights role is within the Environmental Services department.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Associate to join our team. The Environmental Services Associate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in our healthcare facility, which is essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility
• Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
• Collect and dispose of biohazardous waste and linens
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas
• Respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff
• You may operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment.

This position is represented by CHEU and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED

Preferred:

• Hospital or other institutional environmental service experience
