About The Position We are seeking an experienced Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in New York beginning Nov 18, 2025. This 28-day opportunity involves night shifts (7p-7a) working a 7 on / 7 off schedule, with support from residents and no procedures required. The role primarily focuses on inpatient care in a closed ICU setting, ideal for board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians who are adept at managing admissions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Job Details Location : New York Start Date : Nov 18, 2025 LOA : 28 days Provider Type Needed : Hospitalist Schedule : Tuesday through Monday, 7 on / 7 off, 7p-7a (night shifts) EMR : Epic Responsibilities and Duties Manage inpatient census of 6-8 patients per night in a closed ICU Admit 2-4 new patients per night Work collaboratively with residents; delegate and oversee tasks as appropriate Coordinate patient handoffs with mid-shift hospitalist (3p-3a) and receive acclimation support from the medical director during initial days (3a-7a) Maintain clear and timely documentation in Epic EMR Provide high-quality patient care without performing procedures Additional Information Must hold an active New York medical license Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Orientation scheduled for Nov 17, 2025, from 10am to 1pm Previous experience with Epic preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
