Southern
Illinois University School of Medicine (SIU SOM) seeks a Family
Medicine Physician with Obstetrics to join our Decatur Residency
Program and affiliated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
This faculty position offers a meaningful mix of clinical care,
teaching, and community engagement — serving a diverse patient
population while mentoring residents and medical students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide both outpatient and inpatient family
medicine, including obstetrical care.
Supervise and teach residents and medical students in clinic and
hospital settings.
hospitalized and OB patients.
academic activities such as lectures, seminars, and conferences.
committees and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
scholarly projects.
Qualifications
Medicine.
Medicine Residency Program.
eligible for licensure in Illinois.
