Primary Function / General Purpose of Position The Manager of Supply Chain Pharmacy Materials provides oversight to a team of buyers in a defined market, ensuring coordinated efforts towards drug purchasing. This position compiles, prepares, and generates purchase orders for pharmaceutical products ensuring a minimum supply is available always taking into consideration high usage, drug shortages, and unexpected / emergent usage.

Essential Job Functions
- Manages and provides oversight to team of buyers in a respective market. Ensures coordinated effort towards drug purchasing along with compliance towards established purchasing procedures
- Manages the process of purchase orders for pharmaceuticals and related pharmacy products ensuring a minimum supply is available always taking into consideration high usage, drug shortages, and unexpected / emergent usage
- Collaborates with system and local pharmacy teams to ensure standard ordering and approval processes are achieved and maintained related to pharmacy purchases
- Aligns team of buyers towards contractual compliance, system programs, and pharmacy savings
- Processes and authorizes payment for all invoices for merchandise received or credited per established procedure
- Provides oversight and guides to ensure appropriate compliance toward perpetual inventory system
- Works with both system and local pharmacy teams to establish plans and processes around current drug shortages
- Maintains daily transactions including receipts, invoices, issues, purchase orders, and adjustments which are loaded into the purchasing and enterprise resource planning system
- Manages pharmacy inventory documentation for compliance with DSCSA and 340b requirements
- Guides pharmacy waste and charge discrepancy tracking process

Licensing / Certification
Possess and maintain registration or licensing as necessary to operate as a Pharmacy Technician in the state in which employed. This may include national pharmacy technician certification and / or registration if site or state requires the pharmacy materials coordinator to perform any activities restricted to certification requirements. (Current certification / licensing required; if not currently certified / registered, must obtain within 12 months of employment) (required)Certified Pharmacy Technician (preferred)Education

Working Conditions
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. General office environment. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids.
