Description

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in our Home Equity Credit Risk Team, leveraging statistical analysis to shape credit strategies. This position involves collaborating with diverse teams, utilizing data to formulate impactful policy recommendations, and seeing these recommendations through to successful implementation in a dynamic work environment.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Apply analytical and technical skills to uncover insights, develop strategic policy recommendations, and solve key business challenges.
  • Utilize proprietary Citizens data alongside bureau data, property data, and alternative data sources to refine credit risk strategies.
  • Analyze portfolio trends and identify emerging risks to enhance credit policy in an evolving landscape.
  • Design and implement statistical and mathematical models for reporting and predictive analytics.
  • Develop and automate regular reports and communications for senior management.
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to key stakeholders to influence strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate across various teams to ensure the successful implementation of strategy proposals.

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of credit risk experience, preferably in real estate lending (mortgage and / or home equity).
  • 3+ years of relevant quantitative experience with statistical programming languages.
  • Strong quantitative skills to develop and execute effective portfolio management routines that monitor key metrics and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies : SQL, Python, R, Tableau.
  • Ability to derive actionable outcomes from analytical insights and communicate findings effectively to business leadership.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize competing assignments in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, etc.) is required.
  • Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline is preferred.
  • Work Schedule :

  • 40 hours per week.
  • 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday.
  • This role is hybrid with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

    Pay Transparency :

    The salary range for this position is $143,705 - $180,000 per year, along with an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including work location and relevant skills / experience.
