- Ashley Hall is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach to lead our Varsity Lacrosse program. The Head Coach will be responsible for building a competitive, positive, and empowering experience that aligns with the School's mission of developing confident, ethical young women through athletics. The ideal candidate will bring strong lacrosse knowledge, leadership, and a commitment to player development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

- Major Responsibilities

- Leadership & Coaching : Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to student-athletes, fostering growth, confidence, and teamwork. Establish a culture of excellence grounded in sportsmanship, discipline, and respect.
- Program Development : Design and implement a comprehensive lacrosse program that emphasizes skill development, tactical awareness, and team cohesion. Build and sustain a long-term vision for program growth, including player recruitment and the development of feeder programs.
- Practice & Game Preparation : Plan and lead efficient, engaging practices focused on both individual and team improvement. Prepare for games through detailed scouting, opponent analysis, and strategic planning.
- Game Management : Lead the team during competitions with clear communication, composure, and tactical decision-making. Serve as a role model for professionalism and sportsmanship.
- Athlete Development : Support the holistic development of student-athletes by emphasizing academics, leadership, and character. Encourage athletes to set and achieve personal and athletic goals.
- Collaboration : Work closely with assistant coaches, the athletic department, and school leadership to ensure program alignment with Ashley Hall's mission and values. Coordinate with athletic trainers and strength staff to support athlete health and wellness.
- Community Engagement : Build strong relationships with parents, alumnae, and the broader school community. Promote school spirit and program visibility through active engagement at home and away contests.
- Administrative Responsibilities : Manage team operations including scheduling practices, games, and travel. Maintain equipment and uniforms, and ensure safe, organized use of athletic facilities.
- Key Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of lacrosse coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level, with demonstrated success in player and program development.
- Strong understanding of lacrosse fundamentals, strategy, conditioning, and skill progression.
- Energetic, positive leader with excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Willingness to dedicate evenings, weekends, and off-season time to practices, competitions, and program needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the Athletics Department team.
- US Lacrosse Level 1 (or higher) certification preferred.
- Additional Requirements
- Current or ability to attain CPR certification upon hire.
- Completion of all required Ashley Hall and SCISA paperwork.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check, reference checks, and medical requirements.
- Time Commitment :
- Start Date 1 / 15 / 2026
- In Season - 5-6 days of practice and Games
- Off Season responsibilities - Sign up lists, Strength and Conditioning promotion and monitoring
