Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience and the ability to work with pediatric through geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital echo lab covering a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatricsDuties include performing 2D / 3D echocardiograms, bubble studies, color Doppler, imaging with contrast, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echos, and TEERequired calculations include Simpson's Rule, diastology, LV strain / volume, and proximal isovelocity surface areaEquipment utilized includes Phillips and Siemens echocardiography systemsEpic is used for charting and Pyxis for medication managementFive 8-hour day shifts weekly from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PMEvery other weekend work requiredFloating may occur within the facility and to an affiliated hospital if neededRotating night and weekend call requiredFirst-time travelers are welcomeCandidates must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year to return as a travelerClinical screening will determine eligibility before manager reviewTravel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unitCompliance and required documentation must be completed promptly to ensure an on-time startScrub attire is black top and pantsA maximum of 7 days of requested time off is permitted; no RTO during first weekHoliday coverage is mandatory based on the number of major holidays falling during assignmentModules and orientation hours are included in onboarding processLocal candidates are accepted at the same rateRequirements
Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an Echo Technologist or Cardiac SonographerCurrent BLS certificationCredentialing through ARDMS, CCI, or RCS requiredProficiency with echocardiography equipment including Phillips and SiemensEpic charting experience preferredExperience performing advanced echo studies and calculationsLicense required if applicableBenefits
