About Workforce Development at WCAPDD
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal program that helps people with barriers to employment find jobs, access training, and build the skills needed for long-term careers. It also supports employers by connecting them with qualified workers and resources to strengthen their businesses.
In West Central Arkansas, the Workforce Development Board sets the overall vision and goals for the regional workforce system. The West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District (WCAPDD) carries out that vision by serving as the administrator and fiscal agent for WIOA programs. In this role, WCAPDD manages funding, hires and supports staff, and provides program oversight for the Arkansas Workforce Centers in the region.
Job Description of a One Stop Operations & Program Compliance Coordinator :
The One-Stop and Program Compliance Operator serves a dual leadership role by overseeing operational coordination of the region’s One-Stop delivery system and ensuring compliance with state and federal workforce regulations . This position reports to the Director of Workforce Development and works closely with One-Stop partners, training providers, and the Workforce Development Board to promote seamless service delivery, maintain regulatory alignment, and support continuous improvement.
The Compliance plays a key role in board governance, partner engagement, customer service quality, workforce center certification, and compliance with WIOA and related policies. The position requires a balance of strategic oversight and on-the-ground engagement across multiple Arkansas Workforce Center locations.
