Cath Lab Technician

Location : Houston, TX

Pay Rate : $66 / hr

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM

On-Call : One weekday per week and every 5th weekend

Responsibilities

Perform special and invasive radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols.

Prepare patients, explain procedures, administer contrast when needed, and position patients for exams.

Select appropriate imaging techniques and ensure technical quality of images.

Enter and monitor patient data accurately.

Perform quality assurance on radiology equipment; assist with accreditation processes.

Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions.

Respond to emergency calls within the department.

Promote safe care for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to policies, procedures, and budgetary standards.

Support professional growth through continuing education, skills competency, and mentoring of less experienced staff.

Deliver compassionate, personalized experiences while modeling organizational service standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS / ACLS).
• Current Texas Medical Board license (MRT) required; ARRT-R certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech. Ability to lift and maneuver patients as needed.
• Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
