We are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of a Plant Reliability Maintenance Engineer. This individual will be responsible for maximizing the reliability and uptime of equipment and processes within the plant. This individual will achieve this by analyzing potential failure points, developing maintenance strategies, and implementing solutions to prevent or minimize downtime. The Reliability Maintenance Engineer will bridge the gap between maintenance and engineering, ensuring both reactive and proactive measures are being taken to maintain optimal operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Create and refine preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, utilizing data analysis and condition monitoring techniques to optimize maintenance activities.
  • Track key performance indicators related to equipment reliability and availability, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure new installations are designed for reliability and maintainability.
  • Often train maintenance mechanics on reliability principles and best practices, fostering a culture of reliability within the company.
  • Participate in the entire asset lifecycle, from design and installation to decommissioning, ensuring reliability throughout.
  • Must be a proactive problem solver, working to ensure equipment and processes are reliable, efficient, and safe, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the company.
  • Must have experience with safety rules, regulations and requirements.
  • Supervision of Plant Hourly employees and Contract Mechanics is required as well as some overtime and weekend calls.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 3-5 years of direct involvement with Heavy Industrial Mechanical Maintenance and System Reliability.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to understand and develop maintenance routines and procedures.
  • Experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management system is a must.
  • Strong standard work implementation skills.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and leadership skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with SAP and UKG is a plus.
  • Cement manufacturing experience would be a plus.
