The Area HR Generalist, in conjunction with the HR Manager assists in delivering HR functional support to Kankakee as an employee advocate, administrative expert and business driver. The Area HR Generalist will work within the full scope of generalist activity : recruitment, employee relations, performance management, regulatory and legal compliance, policy administration and employee training and development in a collaborative, team-based environment to help the Kankakee plant achieve their Operational Excellence goals. In addition, the Area HR Generalist will provide primarily virtual administrative and HR support to the Moline, IL plant on an as-needed basis, with some on-site support, not to exceed 25%.

Talent Acquisition / Workforce Planning
- Performs employee recruiting and hiring activities for all site positions; coordinate and administer job postings, bidding processes, internal movement and outside hiring of employees for all shifts.
- Handles administrative aspects of recruiting (job posting system maintenance, applicant scheduling, pre-hire activities including medical / chemical screenings)
- Conducts New hire orientation including overview of employee benefit programs.
People Development / Learning & Development
