Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A. is currently seeking an enthusiastic Insurance Defense Attorney with a Portable Book of Business in Florida.

Qualifications / Competencies

• Ability to manage files independently from inception to resolution
• Excellent and persuasive verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Commitment to delivery of high-quality work product
• At least 5 years of prior insurance defense and / or personal / bodily injury litigation experience
• Existing book of business
• Licensed member of the Florida Bar in good standing
• Proficient use of technology and automation resources, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload from case inception through trial / resolution
• Conduct legal research and supervise research projects delegated to paralegals
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and reports
• Supervise junior attorneys
• Attend court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and meetings with clients
• Negotiate settlements
