Position Responsibilities
The Endoscopy Technician has responsibility to provide direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the RN or licensed independent practitioner.

Experience
Experience REQUIRED : 1 year of acute care experience in a patient care related positionExperience PREFERRED : 3 years of work experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care settingEducation / Training
Education / training REQUIRED : High School Graduate or equivalentEducation / training PREFERRED : Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician Program and appropriate certification based on program completed.Independent Action
Functions under direction of a licensed independent practitioner, manager and / or RN in providing patient care, emotional support, and problem solving; all in accordance with hospital, nursing and unit policy / procedure.
Time / Schedule and Guidance
Requires prior approval or guidance from supervisor for time / schedule changes, directed care which deviates from standard, and identifying educational resources to meet developmental needs.Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable) : N / AAdditional position requirements : Endoscopy Techs work day shift until the work of the day is complete.Individual schedules : schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager / Practice Manager.Scheduling flexibility : Schedules, including requirements of hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet unit requirements and / or as needed.Age Specific Groups Served
