Hours : Monday - Friday
Position Summary : The HR and Recruiting Specialist will play a key role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates across various departments, including warehouse operations, logistics, sales, and corporate functions. This individual will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process that aligns with our company culture and values.
Essential Job Functions
- Partner with department leaders to identify hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
- Source candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Manage and monitor Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure data accuracy.
- Track and report recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness and improve processes.
- Post job openings.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring teams.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for high-turnover and seasonal roles.
- Represent the company at career fairs and industry events.
- Support management by resolving timecard issues in preparation for payroll.
- Process employee changes, including supervisor, department, position, schedule, etc.
- Review and approve all invoices related to recruiting.
- Manage Leaves of Absence, including premium collections as applicable and FMLA Tracking (FMLA, STD, WC).
- Track OSHA recordable accidents / incidents to prepare annual OSHA 300 Log.
- Function in a relief role for new employee orientations ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Assist with the receptionist role as needed to support breaks, vacations, etc.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.2+ years of recruiting experience preferred, ideally in distribution or manufacturing environments.Familiarity with ATS platforms and HRIS systems.Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in recruitment.Ability to work independently, with little supervision.Knowledge and ability in the use of a personal computer and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).Skills in problem solving, judgement and decision making.Skills in organizing and prioritizing work and tasks.Working Environment
Work generally takes place in an office setting with no unique or hazardous working conditions. Individuals must be able to use general office equipment, including a PC.
