Job descriptionPlans, organizes, oversees, and personally conducts the delivery of patients care as directed by physicians and other higher level nursing staff Acts as a team member with other professionals and Paraprofessionals in the delivery of patient care services Assists in the preparation of monthly work schedules as needed Assists with the patient care plan; maintains medical and surgical equipment in sanitary condition and in good operating condition Oversees the compliance with infection control and safety regulations of the MGO Acts as liaison between MGO and other units Assists in the training and orientation of new staff Assists other professional staff on the care of patients and the provision of nursing services, central services supply, in-service education, quality assurance, infection control, fire, safety, disaster, or utilization review coordinator. Knows current trends and practices in nursing Knows causes, treatment, prevention, and early detection of communicable and chronic diseases, and handicapping conditions Understands drugs and their administration Can perform EKG’s Ability to perform a wide variety of nursing services Can operate a wide variety of standard and specialized patient care equipment Maintains quality control in work performed Observes safety precautions related to the work Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with patients, medical staff, and other fellow workers Possession of a valid license issued by the State of California Board of Nursing. Current CPR certification in Basic Life Support.

POSITION PURPOSE
Under direction, oversees and conducts a variety of nursing services in the medical group office and other job-related duties as assigned. Duties include assisting with patient assessments, administering medications, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Completion of LVN program
EXPERIENCE
Prefer two years’ experience as a licensed practical nurse.
Bilingual is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
Pre-Employment Requirements
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and health clearance—conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been made. Health clearance may include a physical exam, TB testing, and immunization review.
