Product Owner (SAFe) - Embedded Software Engineer
Location : Ft. Wayne, IN
Employment Type : Full-Time | Contractual | Hours : 40 hrs / week, Mon-Fri
About the Role
Join our client as a Product Owner for embedded software projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and drive successful software delivery. You will manage the product backlog, facilitate SAFe ceremonies, and work closely with stakeholders to continuously improve mission-critical software solutions. This role offers the chance to lead innovative projects in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and priorities
- Create and manage the product backlog to align with business objectives
- Participate in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, to ensure smooth project execution
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve the product
- Monitor progress and adjust priorities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality software
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable tasks
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field5+ years of job-related experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in embedded softwareStrong understanding of SAFe principles and practicesProficiency in C, C++, and C#Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS)Excellent communication and collaboration skillsU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications
Experience with embedded systems and software developmentSAFe certification or relevant trainingStrong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentDomain experience in RF, GPS, and Navigation system development and integrationPassion for technology and innovationAdditional Details
