Loan Documentation Reviewer

Job Description :

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Review LaserPro and Word template documents on a consistent and timely basis for internally documented loans to ensure the documents meet the stated terms of the approval.

Utilize an organized error tracking system during review to track quality and assist in following up to ensure that the Loan Documenter has corrected / addressed the loan file discrepancies.

Ensure internally documented loans comply with Federal and State regulations, internal policies and industry standards.

Ensure integrity and consistency in internally prepared loan documents throughout the Bank.

Maintain a good working relationship with the Loan Documentation team.

Participate in departmental cross training in order to learn other positions within the Loan Documentation team and assist by filling in when other team members are absent.

Handle special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Moderate knowledge of lending principles and concepts, as well as various types of loans offered by the Bank and how they should be documented in order to comply with all Federal and State regulations, internal policies and industry standards

Well versed with title work, flood requirements, entity documents and other internal documentation requirements

Strong knowledge of collateral requirements

Good understanding of the Bank’s special provisions and language substitutions in internally prepared LaserPro and Word template documents

Ability to clearly and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers

Ability to solve practical problems and deal in a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists

Must possess flexibility, versatility, commitment, good judgment, productivity and accuracy

Must be skillful at multitasking, organizing and establishing priorities

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Education and / or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Minimum three to five years loan documentation experience or two to three years loan documentation review experience

Computer and Software Skills

Skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
