Certifications : BLS, chemotherapy certification for infusion clinic

Description :

The position is in an outpatient clinic setting.

The average number of patients seen per day will vary.

Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the facility.

Permanent staff must wait one full year to return as travelers.

Patient types include those receiving medical oncology and chemotherapy infusions.

Skills required include chemotherapy infusion, chart checks, rooming patients with vital signs, weight, review of systems checks, and medication reconciliation.

Support on the unit includes a charge nurse and a resource nurse.

There is no phlebotomy team or IV / VAT team available.

The charting system used is Epic, and the medication dispensing system is Omnicell.

This position does not require floating to other units.

There is no weekend rotation involved.

Staff members will not be on call.

There are no holiday expectations associated with this role.

Time-off requests can be approved as needed.

Scrub color required for the position is navy blue.
