Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable. Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs. Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Overview
JOB SPECIFICS :
- OSF Medical Group seeks a board eligible / board certified psychiatrist with expertise in psychosomatic medicine to provide psychiatric consultations for inpatient care at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, the area's only Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Support the consult liaison team consisting of 3 psychotherapists to address the psychiatric needs of hospitalized patients with initial assessment, recommendations, and follow-up to ensure seamless care coordination
- Clinic hours are M-F, 8 : 00 am 5 : 00 pm
- The after hours call schedule is shared equally among the local psychiatrists for a 1 : 5 phone only call rotation.
