Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems in commercial and retail settings.
- Lead technician teams on multi-week projects, focusing on quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Professionally install and terminate a variety of copper and fiber cabling, including CAT5E, CAT6, and CAT6A.
- Ensure proper cable dressing, patch panel terminations, and compliance with NEC / RCW Code.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of cabling networks and related devices.
- Manage and supervise conduit installation, distribution equipment, lighting systems, and equipment connections.
- Operate lifts (boom and scissor) and work safely at heights.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to devise solutions for installation challenges.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in customer interactions and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
EL06 License is required (or an accepted 06 Training Card with signed affidavit hours).At least 3+ years of low voltage cabling experience ; team leadership experience is preferred.Familiarity with industry standards such as BICSI, NEC, and TIA / EIA.Hands-on experience in copper and fiber cabling, termination, and testing.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Willingness to travel for projects and work flexible schedules, including day, night, and weekend shifts.Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUI / DWI in the past 3 years).Excellent communication and customer service skills.Must own basic telecommunications tools, hand tools, and PPE.Experience in conduit installation, wireless systems, AV, or CCTV systems is advantageous.First Aid / CPR certification is preferred.Compensation & Benefits
